1- VHL platform: CULTURA You will read as best as you can the article about "La Siesta" some translations are given to you in the bottom right corner to help you out to understand the reading. If definitely you are lost help yourself with a Spanish English dictionary online. The article uses lots of vocabulary that you are to know already. Read the whole article and don't get stuck in one word that you don't know. The purpose is for you to catch the main idea of the article not the details.
2- Answer the true or false questions about the article. CULTURA ¿ Cierto o falso?
3- On page 16 in your UNIT 2 Packet you will find a picture chart with Fernanda's daily routine.
    Write her daily routine in a piece of paper that you will attach or paste to this page at the bottom           under the picture chart.
    * I have started it as an example for you. They must be simple sentences that I know you are able to write. NO GOOGLE TRANSLATOR please as I will know if it's a beautiful creative writing  from you or not.
      * Use the useful words and expressions in your vocabulary list on Page #3 in your Unit packet.

¡Hola mis chicos !
This week we have started working with Reflexive Verbs and Reflexive Pronouns. We have done several activities to reinforce this concept and I think we are getting to the point of mastering it. We are know ready to speak, perform and write.
Chicos in case of any emergency of school closings I have shared with you all the accessibility to the online book where you will have several assignments daily and I also shared with you the access code of the schoology  platform where you will also need to access to complete other assignments. This is just in case of any closing of schools. DON'T PANIC!
I will post every day in this blog to guide you in your daily work! Hopefully there is no need of school closings so we will continue our work in school but it is always good to sign in into this two platforms so please go ahead and do it!
In the mean time PLEASE;
1- Constantly wash your hands or constantly use hand sanitizer to clean your hands.
2- Constantly drink water
3- Try to have some Vitamin C supplements with your parents supervision.
4- Eat lots of fruits and vegetables.
5- If you feel sick inform your parents as soon as possible.
6- Just take care of yourselves because Señora Figueroa loves youa lot and your lives are very special to me.

Hola Chicos!
This week we have been very busy learning the rules to use the Direct Object pronouns(  DPO's). It is a simple concept but requires practice to master it. We are also working with the final group practices singing the theme song of the movie we watched last week"The perfect game" and I am thrilled to listen to all my students fluently singing this beautiful song. Keep practicing to be ready for your performance on Thursday March 5th. We also need to be planning your individual project due on Monday March 9th . You received the rubric on Monday March 2nd. Tomorrow we will be going to the computer lab so that you can type and print what ever you need for your project. Busy time chicos!

Hola mis amores! Hope you had a wonderful break with your families and friends!
This week we began with a beautiful inspirational movie called "The perfect game" . We will use this movie for our writing assessment this unit and for our end of the Unit project. We will also learn the beautiful song : When you see forever " sang by Patricia Manterola  in Spanish for our verbal evaluation.

This week we have been working with the present progressive of the verbs. Present progressive
make sure to be aware of the pacing of the class so that you can be updated with the assignments you need to hand in. Keep going chicos the semester is on it's way and you need to keep up with the classwork. I am very pleased with most of my students that have a good grade and I invite those of you that are struggling keeping up with the work to stay with me after school and work in a small group environment. Tomorrow we will begin working with stem changing verbs so let's get going mis amores!
